I'd like to start by saying that Enrico are gondolier was very nice and also funny and we enjoyed him very much. Aside from that, I wouldn't say there was very much special about this particular ride. I specifically asked that we stay on the Grand Canal to see all the major tourist attractions and sites as this was our first day and first time in Venice. He spent at least 20 minutes of our hour going down the quiet dark and uneventful side canals which were kind of boring and a little creepy at night. When we were on the Grand Canal we had to ask what major things were and there really wasn't much of a tour or any guide proactively as we passed the Doge castle and the Rialto Bridge, Etc it was nice that the tour was private so I'm guessing that's where the cost came from but there wasn't anything that stood out being worth €280 for 1 hour.Posted on Google

ifquirane ali17 September 2026Beim Treffpunkt war es etwas unüberschaubar, wo wir uns genau melden sollten. Es gab bereits eine lange Schlange, wobei nicht alle Personen eine Reservierung hatten. Wir waren daher unsicher, ob wir uns trotz Reservierung hinten anstellen müssen oder ob wir uns direkt vorne melden sollten. Die Abfertigung der Kolonne war jedoch äusserst schnell und wir konnten pünktlich unsere Fahrt antreten. Die Gondelfahr war sehr eindrücklich, gemütlich und bezaubernd. Unser Gondoliere war sehr freundlich, aufgestellt, gut gelaunt und hat unsere Fragen gut beantwortet. Ein rundum unvergessliches Erlebnis, das wir nur weiter empfehlen können.Posted on Google

Davide Tessuto29 August 2026It was my fifth visit to Venice, but this was the first time I’d decided to go on a gondola ride to give my daughter an interesting experience, and we had a brilliant time – until then, I’d had the wrong idea about this attraction. I deliberately chose this company because I wanted a peaceful ride through the smaller canals, though of course the Grand Canal was a must. Our gondolier, nicknamed ‘il Capitano’, was brilliant – professional and completely natural, with none of that over-the-top tourist kitsch. Obwohl ich ca. 20 Minuten zu früh am vereinbarten Ort ankam, konnte ich schon kurz danach die Fahrt genießen. Eine Vorab-Reservierung lohnt sich in jedem Fall. Man sollte nur darauf achten, dass die Bearbeitungsgebühr nicht zu hoch ist. Die Fahrt selbst dauerte ca. 30 Minuten und war sehr entspannt. At first, we were a bit confused about where to wait because there was a long line of people using the gondolas as regular transportation rather than for the private experience we had booked. Unfortunately, some people in that line were not very friendly. Once we asked, we were directed to the correct waiting area, and everything went smoothly from there. The ride itself was calm, peaceful, and very relaxing. It was a wonderful way to experience Venice from the water, away from the crowds. The gondolier was professional, and the scenery was beautiful. However, we were disappointed that we specifically booked a gondola ride with a serenade, but when we arrived, our reservation had been made for a regular gondola ride instead. The ride also lasted less than the advertised 30 minutes. It would have made the experience even better if the gondolier had pointed out or explained some of the landmarks and interesting sights along the way. Unfreundlicher ruppiger Gondolieri, außer ruppigen Anweisungen zu Beginn, hat er kein Wort für uns übrig gehabt. Das ist natl. schade, wenn man bedenkt das so eine Fahrt für viele einmalig ist. The more disappointing part are the cost: you pay 90€ during the day and 110€ in the evening when hired directly - the “official” site as claimed is charging ~30€ more. There's no commentary so you may not know what you are looking at but it is still a quintessential touristy thing to do. 廣瀬康平10 May 202618:30に大運河のゴンドラ船着場からスタートし、ため息橋から小径に入り、街中を30分かけて周るコースを予約しました。少し人が落ち着き始めて、喧騒から離れた裏路地の運河で、ゴンドラを漕ぐ水の音を聞きながら、心穏やかな時間を過ごすことができました。ゴンドリエーレの方も、とても親切で、写真撮影にも喜んで応じてくれました。美しい街並みを表玄関である運河側からじっくり眺めることができ、さらに街並みが美しく感じられました。ヴァポレット(水上バス)やトラゲッタ(渡し船)でもヴェネツィアの景色を十分楽しめますが、ゴンドラの上で過ごすゆったりした時間は唯一無二だと思います。Posted on Google

The two Gondoliers from both boats, stayed one behind the other to keep our families together. The ride was smooth, breathtaking and relaxing. Such beautiful scenery. I was so in awe while gliding down the canal. Our reservation was for a 30 minute ride, but the ride seemed longer, even though it wasn't. It was a great experience. stéphane26 April 2026C’est une activité incontournable à faire à Venise. La balade dure dans les 20-30 minutes. Et certes ce n’est pas donné mais un voyage à Venise sans un tour en gondole serait incomplet. Et une fois que vous y êtes dedans, vous oubliez vite le prix et vous profitez pleinement de chaque instant parce qu’on y passe vraiment un moment unique dans une des plus belles villes du monde. Vous naviguez à travers les canaux de Venise au ras de l’eau, vous passez sous les ponts, vous frôlez les fondations des bâtiments et vous observez de près les crustacés incrustés en nombre. Bref, on y passe un moment authentique et unique je dirai. Veuillez noter qu’il dispose d’un site internet en anglais, très bien fait et duquel il est possible de réserver simplement et bien en avance votre tour. C’est un plus si vous aimez bien organiser et sécuriser les activités prévues à l’avance. C’est ce qu’on a fait et il n’y a rien à redire, c’est une compagnie fiable, on n’a eu aucun problème. Tout s’est très bien passé. Ils proposent également plusieurs points de départ: du la place Saint-Marc au pont du Rialto. Nous avons choisi celui de la place Saint-Marc avec passage sous le pont des soupirs suivi d’une promenade dans les canaux de la ville. Je rajouterai également que leurs gondoles sont propres et bien entretenues. Et enfin concernant les tarifs, si vous réservez en avance c’est 110€ la gondole privée (qui peut accueillir jusqu’à 5 personnes) quelque soit le moment de la journée. Sur place, c’est je crois 90€ en journée et 110€ le soir. Comme dis plus haut, c’est cher mais je dirai que ça vaut le coup parce que c’est pas quelque chose qu’on a l’occasion de faire tous les jours et partout. Et pour ce qui est de la compagnie, comme dit plus haut, elle est fiable, j’ai rien à redire de ce point de vue-là.Posted on Google

giovanni airoldi20 April 2026Consiglio a tutti di provare l' esperienza quando si va a Venezia perché è davvero emozionante.Lato positivo: il tour viene fatto in canali non trafficati e quindi più suggestivi ,il passaggio sotto il Ponte dei Sospiri vale il tour. Lato negativo: la durata potrebbe essere maggiore ( effettivi il tour è durato 25 minuti), sarebbe bello che il gondoliere raccontasse un po' cosa si sta vedendo (non so, storie dei palazzi che si vedono,storia delle gondole , eccetera). I ragazzi cmq sono stati gentili e disponibili. Ci siamo presentati con 20 minuti di anticipo e siamo partiti subito con il tour.Posted on Google

We were welcome very politely, nice gondola, the route however didn't match the one from the description, and was not as long as expected, instead the ride was slower to fit the shorter route within an hour. A 30 minute ride is perfect for a short view into that while also leaving time for the many other things Venice has to offer. We booked in advance in Japan and brought our printed tickets so the ride went smoothly, but people who came without a reservation were apparently turned down. The price was 113 euros for 30 minutes. Some reviews say the actual ride is shorter, but we enjoyed the 30 minute gondola ride, including the Grand Canal and the small canals. One thing that bothered us was that we wanted to thank the gondolier at the end, but he wouldn't make eye contact with us, so we didn't get a chance to do so.Posted on Google

We need more organization in peak periods from agencies and gondoliers I put 3 stars for a reason: even if you book, you are not sure not to wait and have what you book for, because it all depends on the crowding and in all probability, reservations made through services like Gondolieri Travel are not organized in a database so that those who actually have to organize gondola rides know how many people there will be. Result, starting from the point “Gondola Danieli”, we received only 22 minutes, and we also had to wait 10 minutes. There were too many people. Pedro Lima12 August 2025We had our ride on Aug 7th. Amazing amazing experience. Although I paid extra to book online, it was worth it as I was able to get there and get my ride on time. I selected the San Toma route as I wanted a more quiet path and it was a dream because nobody was on the canals and we were able to visit the "real" Venice. On our private ride there was the pilot and another employee. They were both simply amazing and friendly, singing along the way and telling us interesting things as we rode through certain places. In the middle of the journey he even asked if we wanted some pictures and it was at that moment that I popped the question and he was kind and quick enough and recorded the whole thing. Was more comfortable time to do it than mid-day heat. Liked that only spent a little bit of time on Grand canal which was perfect since that's where it was the busiest but just enough to get a different view of Rialto bridge. The guide provided a little bit of info as we were going along but would have liked more and wished we had gotten one with someone who sings but we played music through phone which made it even better. Probably would avoid high tide next time since he had to tilt the boat at every bridge but would absolutely do again.Posted on Google

Lauren Effertz16 June 2025I booked a 1-hour gondola ride for myself and my siblings. The pick-up point was easy to find, right by the Accademia Bridge. One thing to note is that although the sign at the meeting point says "San Toma" and not "San Trovaso," it is the right place. We enjoyed our time both on the Grand Canal and in some smaller, quieter canals. Our gondolier called out some points of interest, but mostly let us chat amongst ourselves. Morgan Phillips29 May 2025First off, taking a gondola ride in Venice is a MUST. It is worth the hype. You have not fully experienced Venice until you have been on a gondola ride. Second, all the Gondoliers around the city charge 90 euros for 30 minutes and double for one hour. This price is set by the city. I paid 225 euros for 1 hour online in an attempt to avoid chaos, pre-book, and streamline our time in Venice. The Gondolier was friendly and pointed out about 5 different points of interest, including the college, the hotel where George Clooney stays, the Church, and the Guggenheim Museum. Although he was friendly, our ride was not 1 hr. long, but rather closer to 50 minutes. I looked at my phone the moment we arrived for our 5 pm reservation. 4:58. We did not arrive back at 5:58 but rather pulled into the vicinity and then floated in place from 5:46 until about 5:48, and then pulled in around 5:50 when our ride was completed. I am disappointed that I paid additional in hopes of securing a top-notch 1 hr. long gondola ride. We had a good gondolier, but the lack of getting the hour I paid for was a disappointment.Posted on Google

The site gave a great description of the route and Enrico, at his suggestion and or agreement, spent more time in the smaller canals. We still saw the key sites and Enrico entertained us on the way with history, details, and general talk about being a gondolier. This was the second time my wife and I took a gondola in Venice and it was definitely a hit. Avoid the main San Marco location with tons of traffic and look at this location with its combination of quiet small canals while also seeing the Grand Canal and passing under the Rialto. To avoid the rougher waters of the grand canal, take a ride in the back lagoons and just sit back and enjoy the quiet smooth ride. We even had a few sprinkles of rain. Don’t worry about seeing the sights from a gondola, ENJOY the ride for what it is and watch the Gondolier maneuver the gondola around the sharp turns and under short bridges without ever crashing. Booking a gondola in advance was easy, and it ensured we could explore the canals at a specific time before a dinner reservation. I highly recommend using this service! At the end of the ride the gondolier requested payment which of course was done during the pre-booking. It was confusing for everyone but it worked out in the end.Posted on Google
