Other Useful Information

The Bacino Orseolo Gondola Station, located behind the Piazza San Marco, is the starting point for this ride along minor but remarkably beautiful canals like Rio dei Barcaroli, where Mozart’s home is located, and Rio dell’Ovo, until reaching the Grand Canal. From here, to the right rises the Rialto Bridge, and to the left, buildings like Ca’ Farsetti, Venice’s City Hall, and Palazzo Grimani, the largest building on the Grand Canal and the Regional Appeals Court. Continuing along Rio San Luca you’ll see Palazzo Manin, home of the last Doge of Venice Ludovico Manin and today home to the Bank of Italy, to return to the Bacino Orseolo from where we began.
